High Voltage Performing Arts is a registered charity (Charity Number: 1189028) created to give performance opportunities to members of the local community.

We currently have 4 performing units within the organisation:

High Voltage Big Band - a big band playing swing, jazz and blues

The Stein Meisters Oompah Band - a Bavarian style band playing oompah and party songs

MegaBlast! - a brass and percussion ensemble playing classic songs and current pop hits

Essex Herald Fanfare Team - a traditional fanfare team playing flourishes for civic occasions

The big band with a big difference!

With our unique line up of up to 16 brass players plus a rhythm section comprising of drums & percussionists. Add our three fantastic vocalists on top and you can’t go wrong.

Providing a fusion of music from swing, jazz & blues to rock & pop, all produced in our unique brassy big band sound. High Voltage Big Band will help your event to go with a swing!

The Stein Meisters Oompah Band offer the perfect musical package for your Oktoberfest event, Bavarian Christmas Market or any party. Playing a mixture of traditional tunes plus all your singalong favourites, we are guaranteed to play something for everyone.

Providing a fusion of traditional and modern music with a brassy oompah sound. You are encouraged to join in and dress for the occasion. We look forward to partying with you! Prepare yourself for an entertaining experience of singing, dancing & steins that should leave you exhausted and with a big smile on your face.

Essex Herald Fanfare Team offer fanfares & flourishes for weddings, civic occasions, awards ceremonies & more!

We can offer you a fanfare team with 4 to 9 trumpeters that are commonly booked as a fanfare ensemble. A team of this size can cater for any event.

We are sure to stand out with a full set of herald trumpets & banners adding that majestic sight & sound to your occasion. Playing fanfares and flourishes for civic, public & private engagements.

Opening your event with various pieces such as Henry Purcell’s Trumpet Voluntary to Felix Mendelssohn’s The Wedding March.

Essex Herald Fanfare Team are also available for sporting events and formal dinners and exhibitions.

High Voltage Charts provide Music Theory resources, materials and tutorials for the community. We also provide access to musical arrangements for various ensembles plus guides to using music notation software such as Sibelius and MobileSheetsPro.
